
The Jno G. Lewis, Jr. Medal of Excellence is awarded annually to a member of the Phylaxis Society for meritorious service and is the highest honor that the Society can bestow upon a member. The nominations of members for the medal of excellence shall come from pass recipients, from the president of the Phylaxis Society, or from the president of the Council of 459; nomination shall be for sustained service to the Society of the highest caliber.
The director of the Jno G. Lewis Medal of Excellence Program oversees the program and will:
a. Seek methods for funding the medal.
b. The program director is a member of the Council of 459 and as such will submit reports based on guidelines issued by the President of the Council of 459.
