Schisms and differences of opinions concerning the government of the Craft have existed since 1751. Even with the creation of a rival grand lodge in England the two factions eventually after 63 years they affected ‘union’ that has lasted until present day. Attempts have been made by those Grand Lodge’s who can legitimately trace their heritage to African Lodge No. 459 and from their to the original Grand Lodge of England that granted the charter to that great American & Visionary – Prince Hall.
Indeed, the process of healing is available in most if not all Prince Hall Jurisdictions. Those men who for whatever reason decide to become part of ‘regular’ Freemasonry are encouraged to do so by means of this process. Some jurisdictions even allow those who have achieved the rank of Past Master to retain that distinction.
Despite extending the ‘olive branch’ to the leaders and members of these bodies who in reality (if the correct definition of the ‘healing process’ is utilized) are not entitled to be ‘healed’. A healing is to correct something that was done in an irregular manner. For instance – the making of the Mason without the Charter or a dispensation to do so. The ceremony would be ‘irregular’ and therefore would require the individual to be healed and therefore receive the degree in a just and regular manner.
The members of these spurious organizations are not being made in an irregular manner, for it would be a misrepresentation to call their initiation process ‘irregular’ – as they have joined a false body they are bogus and as such should be caused to receive the degrees in a legal lodge and not be advanced until suitable proficiency has been demonstrated.
As in previous volumes below are more examples of bogus and false organizations claiming to be Masonic in nature. If you are a member of any of the ‘businesses’ we have featured on this website, I implore you to immediately contact the Commission on Bogus Masonic Practices or a regular grand lodge in your state. Any member of the Commission on Bogus Masonic Practices will be happy to assist you in locating a legitimate lodge in your area.
The first featured entity is the King of Kings Grand Council of New York. This is an example of another so called Scottish Rite body operating in the ‘Big Apple”. Members of this organization please take note that the fines imposed upon you for being late or absent are excessive and would never be countenanced in a true Masonic lodge.
There is a growing pattern among ‘mainstream’ Masons to break from their respective grand lodges to form new “obedience’s” that will restore Freemasonry to its original intent and glory. Such is the case with the Masonic High Council of the USA. Mainstream Masons should recognize that Prince Hall Masons have a long history of dealing with these organizations, do not be tempted by their attempts to persuade you to violate your obligation, or the constitution of your grand lodge or your lodge by-laws. Do not leave one system to join another only to find that the grass is not so green on the other side.
