Over the past two decades the growth of the internet has allowed Freemasonry to open its doors and allow the public at large to view its beauty and majesty. Most legitimate Masonic bodies have created websites to serve as bastions of information for both the Mason and non-Mason.
The popularity of the internet does not stop with websites which are static and usually do not allow for real-time interaction – as a result a phenomenal information tool was created to allow members and the curious to explore Freemasonry in near real time utilizing the miracle of electronic mail more commonly referred to as e-mail. As we began to become comfortable with the internet, e-mail grew into a feature of business and communication that is 10o% necessary in today’s world.
From web pages to email list servers finally emerged a forum which would incorporate the best of both technologies “The Internet E-Groups”.
Most are free and offer anyone the ability to communicate with those who share similar interest. Regular Masonic groups have capitalized on the power of such a tool - as it allows for the quick dissemination of information, the posting of pictures, internet links and of course the luxury of communicating in near real time with the members via e-mail.
Hidden among the thousands of E-Groups run by Regular Masonic organizations – are the Bogus Masonic Groups who are equally conscious of its power and are also utilizing E-Groups to communicate, proliferate and propagate their bogus status to their members and to the public in general.
The next few issues will expose the E-Groups of these Counterfeit Masonic Organizations. Virginia Beach, Virginia beware, for lurking in your area is the first group we will shine our light upon. They are under investigation and the Commission is seeking further information pertaining to this organization which was formed on April 24, 2005, these bold and ambitious men in their desire to emulate regular Freemasonry have formulated a Bogus Supreme Council and as is popular with fake Masons a Grand Masonic Congress.

But never forget that for all their pomp and circumstance they are SPURIOUS and an ABOMINATION. They are calculated predators who pray upon the ignorance of the unsuspecting public who desire to join and affiliate with regular Freemasons and Eastern Stars.

Universal Supreme Council Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Masons Northern and Southern Jurisdiction of the Holy Empire was organized on April 24, 2005AD in the city of Virginia Beach, State of Virginia from the members of Universal Grand Masonic Congress of Scottish Rite Masons Inc. It is appropriate, therefore, that this birthplace should be the headquarters and the historic location of what is called the Sea of the Supreme Council. To be authentic, all Decrees, Balustres, Charters, Diplomas and other official documents must be issued from the headquarters of the Supreme Council.
To assure proper form and attribution, all Subordinate Consistories will date and designate their official programs, announcements and signatures from their City, called a Valley and their State, called an Orient, including the title of their Consistory.
