Stan's Bogus Masonic Web pages

Volume No.2

Welcome back and thank you to all the Brothers and Sisters who have emailed me or the Director in reference to the first edition. I have taken your comments into consideration and will try and implement those suggestions/recommendations that will serve to improve the comments of this segment of the quarterly newsletter.

In the last issue, I promised to bring you information pertaining to a gentleman who promises to “assist anyone” desiring a charter in the high or low houses. I always try to keep my promises…I give you the International Masonic Association of the World.

International Masonic Association of the World

http://www.rtis.com/nat/org/masonic/

The International Masonic Association of the World is under the leadership and expert guidance of MW Elder Abe Johnson, International Grand Master of North and South America and Order of Eastern Star.

After contacting this group, I received a nice letter, pamphlet and petition. In the letter Mr. Johnson, indicates that his traveling expenses from Texas to Maryland would have to be incurred by me. Additionally, he told me via phone that we should also provide a nice hotel, “one that I don’t have to worry about someone breaking into my room”. Perhaps Mr. Johnson had a bad experience on a previous trip. J

The pamphlet outlines the “benefits” of membership. I will list the benefits for your edification:

1. Up to $1, 000.00 endowment for dues of only $4.50 per mo. Paid up in 20 years (so you pay no more endowment dues). $1,000.00 additional endowment in each exhalted degree if desired.

2. You can borrow on it after 3 years.

3. Advance leadership and be a PAID leader as soon as you understand our system and principles.

4. Besides the borrowing provision, your local chapter comes to your rescue in case of illness or other emergency.

5. Natural family progress is promoted through joint meetings of women and men.

6. No exclusion for age or physical handicap so long as there is mental and physical soundness.

7. Worldwide, not a separate branch in each state like most orders.

8. Honest leadership so that each gets what he or she merits, regardless of age, seniority or other conditions.

9. There are many other benefits, too numerous to be mentioned here.

Also included in the booklet is an illustration of a member in a hospital bed, who receives a large sack of cash from his mason and eastern star friends. Another shows two men holding baskets full of cash with the caption: “International and State Deputies are awarded for their production on a percentage basis, for organizing Grand and Local Lodges and Grand and Local Chapters.”

The pamphlet espouses the following “International Masonic Association is RECOGNIZED by the Grand Lodge and Supreme Council of Scotland (3rd. oldest lodge in the World).

I found it interesting that the IMA is not listed on the Grand Lodge of Scotland’s website as a body recognized by them. But don’t believe me, check for your self. http://www.grandlodgescotland.com/website/glos.html

They also claim to have recognition from the Supreme Council of Masons and Stars of Australia. Sources in Australia report that they know of no such entity, but that there was a bunch of organizations being started by “disaffected persons”. I leave you to make your own conclusions as to the regularity of this so-called supreme council and its connection with the Honorable Elder Abe.

Let’s move on to the next group, one that has been the topic on a few e-groups on the internet. Modern Free and Accepted Masons of the World Inc., Brother Joe Snow has written an article on this group which may be found in the “Blast from the Past” section. Brother Snow’s report brings to light the court case of 1951, in which the MWPHGL of Georgia filed suit against this bogus body. Yet they continue to operate. Read his report in its entirety, read the Modern Free mission statement (below) then check out their web sites.

This next site goes under the category of “I don’t know what the heck this is!”

I found this web page quite by accident, if anyone out there has more information please contact any member of the commission. It has links to the Internationals, as well as a link for a DJs, Stripper and Catering business. The site seems to be defunct, nevertheless the owner has not removed it from the world wide web.

These last web site is a complement to my illustrious colleague, Brother Ezekiel Bey’s expose’ on the extraterrestrial known as Dr. York. I believe these sites needs no further commentary, I look forward to your emails concerning this individual.

Dear readers I truly hope that you understand what has been presented in this issue; many see the Commission as a group of Prince Hall Masons bent on bad mouthing our fellow African American Brothers and Sisters. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact in the first issue I purposely featured a Caucasian bogus grand lodge operating in Virginia.

The purpose of the Commission is to expose ALL Bogus groups claiming to be Masonic in origin. We are committed to this end and will not falter in our determination to shed light on dark corners!

The next issue will feature…well I guess you will just have to come back to see. J

Fraternally,

Bro. Emanuel J. Stanley, MPS
